1. Short title, extent and commencement
. (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Cold Storage (Licensing and Regulation) Act, 1966.(2)It extends to the whole of West Bengal.(3)It shall come into [force] [Came into force on 1st May, 1969, vide Agri. & C.O. Deptt. notification No. 2414-SS&W, dated the 31st March, 1969.] on such date or dates and in such area or areas as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint and different dates may be appointed for different areas,
