Section 12(1) in Securities and Exchange Board of India (Foreign Portfolio Investors) Regulations, 2019
(1)The Board may require the applicant or the depository of which the applicant is a participant to furnish such further information or clarification as may be considered necessary for grant of approval to act as a designated depository participant.
