Section 4 in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Act, 1971
4. Objects of University.
- The objects of the University shall be-(a)to impart education in different branches of agriculture and allied sciences as the University may determine;(b)to further the advancement of learning and prosecution of research in agriculture and allied sciences; and(c)to undertake the extension of such sciences to the rural people in cooperation with the concerned Government departments.
