Section 53(3) in The Indian Port Health Rules, 1955
(3)The Health Officer may, in his discretion, cause to be disinfected and/or disinsected any clothing, bedding or other articles belonging to any person proposing to embark on a ship. In the absence of such disinfection and/or disinfecting, the Health Officer may prohibit the taking on board of any such clothing bedding or other articles.
