Section 30(1) in Kerala Water Supply and Sewerage Act, 1986
(1)The Chairman or Managing Director or any other member, officer or employee of the Authority shall be liable to surcharge for the loss, waste or misapplication of any money or property of the Authority if such loss, waste, or misapplication is a direct consequence of his neglect or misconduct while acting as such Chairman or Managing Director or other member or officer or employee.
