565. Railway Police to deter to railway officials. [§ 12, Act V, 1861].
(a)All officials and railway authorities shall be treated with due respect by the force. Police officers shall salute officials of high rank.(b)A Railway Police officer shall do everything in his power to act in harmony with the Railway administration to which he is attached, and shall always pay deference to a request made by a responsible railway official. In doubtful cases, he shall comply, if possible, with the request, reporting the matter at the same time to his official superior. The Inspector-General shall be the final authority, so far as the police are concerned and he will, if necessary, refer doubtful points to the Provincial Government for orders.
