Section 20(2) in Assam Judicial Service Rules, 2003
(2)This review will be undertaken when the concerned officer(s) attain the age of 50 and 55 years. If the committee considers that in public interest the officers should be retired from service, he shall be compulsorily retired by giving him a notice of hot less than 3 months in writing or 3 months pay and allowance in lieu thereof.Provided that noting in sub-rule (2) shall be considered as preventing consideration for compulsory retirement of a member of the service at any time other than those mentioned therein.
