25. Functions of Sarpanch and Naib-Sarpanch.
(1)The Sarpanch shall preside over the meeting of the Halqa Panchayat and shall be responsible for maintenance of the records of the Halqa Panchayat.(2)The Sarpanch shall be generally responsible for the financial and executive administration of the Halqa Panchayat and shall exercise administrative supervision and control in accordance with the rules framed in this behalf over the staff of the Halqa Panchayat.(3)In the absence of the Sarpanch, the Naib-Sarpanch shall preside over the meeting of the Halqa Panchayat and discharge the functions of the Sarpanch with regard to the financial and administrative matters.
