Section 56 in Indian Merchant Shipping (Seamen's Employment Office, Calcutta) Rules, 1954
56. Notwithstanding anything contained in these rules, the Director may, in respect of seamen on Articles when these rules come into force and who are accepted for registration, maintain separate ad hoc rosters in accordance with such procedure as may be prescribed after consultation with the Board.
