Section 10(1) in The Post Office Savings Certificates Rules, 1960
(1)On payment being made under Rule 9, a certificate shall normally be issued immediately and except as otherwise provided in these rules the date of such certificate shall be the date of its issue provided that when payment is made by means of a cheque, pay order or demand draft, a certificate shall not be issued before the proceeds of the cheque, pay order or demand draft are realised.
