Section 4(4) in Visvesvaraya Technological University Act, 1994
(4)[ Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act or the Karnataka State Universities Act, 1976, the affiliation of the Karnataka Regional Engineering College, Surathkal, to the University, with effect from such [date] [Inserted by Act 23 of 1999 w.e.f. 01.09.1999 by notification. Text of the notification is at the end of the Act.] as the Government may by notification specify, shall discontinue and shall be deemed to have been affiliated to the Mangalore University from the said date and be governed by the provisions of the Karnataka State Universities Act, 1976.]
