ORDER
Background
1. The Applicant filed an RTI application dt.2.3.10 with the PIO, University of Delhi wanting to now whether the letter No.CB/2008/Min.DSC/8944 dt.15/16.10.08 was forwarded by University or Liaison Officer or Deputy Registrar for clarification to any Department along with copies of those forwarding letters. Shri Jay Chanda, CPIO replied on 26.3.10 informing him that the RTI application has been forwarded to deemed PIOs for providing the information and also inviting the Applicant to visit the office for inspection of records. The Applicant filed an appeal dt.5.4.10 with the Appellate Authority stating that no information has been provided so far. The Appellate Authority vide his order dt.5.5.10 stated that Applicant has not availed the inspection offered by PIO both in North Campus and South Campus and refused to grant any relief. Being aggrieved with the reply, Applicant filed a second appeal dt.14.5.10 before CIC.
Decision
2. It was agreed to during the hearing that the Appellant will avail the opportunity given to him by the Appellate Authority of inspecting all the relevant records for the information he is seeking and that the CPIO cum Deputy Registrar will provide the Appellant with attested copies of documents required by him free of cost upto 100 pages and that the Appellant will pay @ Rs.2/ as photocopying charges per page for pages beyond that number. The entire exercise to be completed by 20.2.11 and the Appellant to submit a compliance report to the Commission by 25.2.11.
3. The appeal is disposed of with the above directions.
