65. Power of the Excise Commissioner and certain Excise officers investigating offences.
- 1. The Excise Commissioner may, without the order of a Magistrate, investigate any offence punishable under this act which a Court having jurisdiction over the local area would have power to enquire into or try under the provision of Chapter XV of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 relating to the place of inquiry or trial. 5 of 1973.
