60. Notice to Municipality to take over certain duties.
(1)When the execution of a scheme prepared within the frame work of the Master Plan has been completed by the Planning authority, the said authority may, by a written notice, ask the Municipality to take over the maintenance of roads and of the sewerage, drainage, water-supply, lighting and conservancy systems comprised within the scheme and, if the Municipality fails to comply with the notice within two years of the date of the service of such notice, such road and' system shall be deemed to have vested in the Municipality who shall thereupon be responsible for the maintenance of such roads and systems.(2)If any difference of opinion arises between, the Planning authority and the Municipality in respect of any matter referred to in Sub-section (1), the matter shall be referred to the State Government whose decision shall be final.
