Section 12 in The Rajasthan Soil and Water Conservation Act, 1964
12. Functions of District Committee.
- The functions of the District Committee shall be-(a)to take steps to educate people in soil and water conservation;(b)to direct the District Soil Conservation Officer to make survey, collect data and prepare plans for the district or any selected area, or catchments therein and to perform functions incidental thereto;(c)to consider the plan and, subject to prescribed conditions, approve the same;(d)to take steps to ensure proper execution of the plans and to watch the progress of work thereunder;(e)to make recommendations to the Board for securing efficient administration of the plans;(f)to carry out the directions issued by the Board from time to time with regard to a plan; and(g)to perform such other functions as may be specified by or under this Act.
