DR. THOKCHOM MEINYA (INNER MANIPUR): I beg to move for leave to introduce a Bill to ensure equal participation of men and women in representing the Government of India while entering into any international treaty, agreement, covenant, resolution or negotiation, including those relating to war or peace, in order to uphold the values of international human rights and convention to which India is a signatory.
HON. DEPUTY SPEAKER: The question is: “That leave be granted to introduce a Bill to ensure equal participation of men and women in representing the Government of India while entering into any international treaty, agreement, covenant, resolution or negotiation, including those relating to war or peace, in order to uphold the values of international human rights and convention to which India is a signatory.” The motion was adopted.
