Section 14(14)(ii) in Tamil Nadu Clinical Establishments (Regulations) Rules, 2018

(ii)Staff. - A qualified nurse shall be the head of nursing staff in the Operation Theatre. Anaesthesia to be provided by a qualified Anaesthetist or by a doctor only who is trained in anaesthesia. Surgeries shall be performed by qualified doctors only.
