Section 111(a) in U.P. Building And Other Construction Workers (Regulation Of Employment And Conditions Of Service) Rules, 2009
(a)all lifting appliances, including their parts and working gear, whether fixed or movable and any plant or gear used in anchoring or fixing of such appliances, are -(i)of sound construction, sound material and of adequate strength and shall be free from patent defects, and maintained in good repair and working condition.
