(1)No owner or occupier of any building in a cantonment shall, without the permission in writing of the [Board] [Substituted by Act 24 of 1936, S.69, for "Cantonment Authority" ] add to or place against or in front of the building any projection or structure overhanging, projecting into, or encroaching on, any street or any drain, sewer or aqueduct therein.
