Section 7(2) in The Water (Prevention And Control Of Pollution) Rules, 1975
(2)(i)The Chairman may undertake tours within India for carrying out the functions of the Central Board:Provided that he shall keep the Central Government (Secretary to the Ministry of Works and Housing) and the Central Board, informed of his tours.(ii)The Chairman may, with the prior approval of the Central Government, visit any country outside India.
