Section 140 in The Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1961
140. Except on pressing emergency, no sum not provided for in budget estimate to be expended.
- Save in case of pressing emergency, [or save as otherwise expressly provided in this Act] [These words were inserted by Maharashtra 34 of 1966, Section 8.] no sum shall be expended by or on behalf of any Zilla Parishad unless such sum is included in some budget estimate at the time in force which has been approved as aforesaid.
