Section 9(1) in The Assam Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1960
(1)A licence for a temporary indoor cinema may be granted by the Licensing Authority, with the prior approval of the State Government in Form C appended to these Rules for a period not exceeding three months. This period may, however, be extended for a further period of three months on application being made, before the expiry of the current licence, fulfilling the requirements of Rule 8.
