(1)In any case in which the erection of building or any other work connected therewith has been commenced or is being carried on unlawfully, the Municipality may, by written notice, require the owner or the person carrying on such erection of unlawful work to discontinue the same forthwith, pending further proceedings as respect such unauthorised construction.
