Information soughtand background of the case:
Vide RTI application dated 07.11.2013, the appellant sought information relating to land acquisition for NTPC Simhadri Project. The queries in both the RTI applications dated 04.11.2013 and 07.11.2013 centred around list of land losers, extent of dry land and wet land acquired from each for constructing the NTPC Ltd, Simhadri project, agreement of the company with the land losers for providing jobs to the land losers/farmers or their families, recruitment procedure of the land losers etc. CPIO vide letter dated 18.02.2014 provided point wise reply to the appellant. Not satisfied, the appellant preferred first appeal/s dated 14.02.2014 and 26.12.2014. The FAA did not dispose of the appeal. Feeling aggrieved, the appellant approached the Commission.
Relevant facts emerging during hearing:
The appellant is absent despite notice. The respondent states that point wise information as available on record has already been provided against the only one RTI application received by them i.e. the one dated 04.11.2013. The appellant is not present to canvass his case.
Decision:
After hearing parties and perusal of record, the Commission finds that information sought has already been provided to the appellant. No further orders are required.
The appeals are disposed of accordingly.
