Section 58 in The State Bank Of India (Subsidiary Banks) Act, 1959
58. Dissolution of existing banks.
- Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act or in any other law for the time being in force or in any contract or other instrument, an existing bank shall, on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify in this behalf, stand [dissolved] [Bank of Bikaner, Indore and Mysore and Travancore Bank dissolved (w.e.f. 1-8-1966 - See S.O. 88, Gazette of India, 1966, Pt. II, S.3 (ii), p.96) ].
