Section 14(1) in The Legal Metrology (Approval of Models) Rules, 2011
(1)A certificate of approval of a model may be suspended by the Director in the event of the omission or failure on the part of the holder of such certificate;(i)to make or manufacture weights or measures in accordance with the model to which the certificate relates, or(ii)to conform to the rules or standards in relation to any weight or measure manufactured in accordance with the model, or(iii)to comply with the conditions specified in the certificate of approval:Provided that no such suspensions shall be made except after giving to the holder of the certificate. a, reasonable opportunity of showing cause against the proposed action.
