(1)The owner, agent or manager of every mine shall ensure that every installation in the mine is placed under the charge of an installation manager appointed by him:Provided that, where in a mine, the owner, agent or manager of a mine is of the opinion that the size, nature, location and extent of certain installations are such that one installation manager can perform his duties in proper manner for more than one installation, he may appoint one installation manager to hold charge of more than one installation recording justifications thereof and clearly specifying the area of jurisdiction in every such case.
