1. Allowed, subject to all just exceptions. W.P.(CRL) 2021/2020

2. The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that the FIR No. 1730/2016 under Sections 406/498-A/34 of the IPC registered with PS Mehrauli and all proceedings emanating therefrom, be quashed.

3. The said petition is premised on the basis of a settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2.

4. The said FIR was registered at the instance of respondent no.2. She has joined the proceedings and is identified by the IO. She states that she had filed the FIR in question in view of matrimonial disputes that had arisen between her and her husband (the petitioner). She states that they have since resolved their disputes and have secured a decree of divorce by mutual consent. She also acknowledges that she has received the entire settlement amount as agreed. She joins the petitioner in praying that the FIR in question be quashed.

5. The petitioner has also joined the proceedings and is identified by his counsel. He also states that he has no grievances against respondent no.2 and their disputes stand resolved.

6. In view of the statements made by the concerned parties (the petitioner and respondent no.2) the present petition is allowed and FIR No. 1730/2016 under Section 406/498-A/34 of the IPC registered with PS Mehrauli and all proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.

7. The petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
