In every case in which a record of confession made under Section 164 of the Code is received by the presiding officer enquiring into or trying the case, the confession shall be shown or read over to the accused, and the fact that this has been done shall be noted down by the presiding officer. The presiding officer shall enquire from the accused whether he made the confession before the Magistrate from whom the record of it was received and shall record the answer of the accused in full.
