368. Rural police not to be employed on menial duties. [§ 12, Act V, 1861].
- Police officers are prohibited from employing dafadars and chaukidars on their private concerns or any duties of a menial or degrading kind. Superintendents shall see that the order is obeyed and shall make it special subject of enquiry when inspecting a police-station and shall also mention it in their annual report.
