(1)The committee may cause a name to be given to any street, and to be affixed on any building in such place as it may think fit, and(2)Whoever shall destroy, pull down or deface any name or number affixed to any street or building under this section, or put up any different name or number from that put up by order of the committee, shall be punishable with fine which may extend to [five hundred rupees.] [Substituted by Punjab Act No. 8 of 1974.]
