Section 8 in The M.P. Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1972

8. Structure to be fire-proof.

(1)Subject to the provisions of sub-rule (3), all cinemas shall be enclosed within the proper external or partly walls of bricks, stone or concrete (plans, hallow or reinforced) and the floors, tiers and roof of the auditorium and all parts used by the public shall be constructed of fire-resisting materials :Provided that the following materials may be used for the ceiling namely ;-Acoustic Celotex,Asbestos Spray,Canoe,Celetex,Heraklith,Insulite Building Board (Termitex), and Insulite Hard Board and Tyuzne Wexna Insulation board, Insulwood.Treatax,Acoste Sound Insulation Board,Light Crete Unika Sound Insulating board and Unitene.Acoustic Tiles,Gypsum Panel Board,Thermocaustic,Thermofriez.
(2)In the case of touring cinemas, the external walls of the auditorium shall be constructed of the fire-resisting material. Such cinemas may not have roof over the auditorium.
(3)Nothing in sub-rule (1) shall apply to premises duly licensed in any part of the State for use for cinematograph exhibition before the coming into force of these rules except that the ceiling of such premises, if not made of fire-resisting material, shall be replaced by the fire-resisting material.
