Section 278 in Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966
278. State Government may order survey and appoint Superintendent.
(1)The State Government may, whenever it thinks fit, order that a survey shall be made of the lands situated in the City of Bombay and for such purpose may appoint a Superintendent of Survey and one or more Assistant Superintendents of Survey.(2)The Assistant Superintendents shall exercise such powers as may be delegated to them by the Superintendent.
