Section 56(iii) in The Manual of Departmental Orders
(iii)The guard, when carrying money, shall as a rule, use the most public roads in preference to shorter but less frequented routes, and shall convey the money to its destination as far as possible on the same day that it is drawn from the treasury. The guard shall not travel by night unless it is absolutely necessary.
