Section 49(1) in The Gujarat Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1963
(1)The State Government may acquire any land within a market area, which in its opinion is needed for the purposes of this Act, under the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (I of 1894) or any other corresponding law for the time being in force.
