(3)All applications made before the Rent Authority and appeals made before the [Appellate Authority] [Substituted 'Tribunal' by Punjab Act No. 23 of 2014, dated 29.8.2014] by the tenant shall abate on the expiry of the period for which permission has been granted under sub-section (1).
