DR. M.P. ABDUSSAMAD SAMADANI (MALAPPURAM): I request the Government to urgently intervene and solve the difficulties faced by the passengers in the state due to the ongoing delay in resuming operation of the wide-body air craft and restoring the Haj embarkation point at Kozhikode Airport in Kerala. The situation has caused much hurdles for the expatriates and pilgrims. The report of the enquiry into aircraft accident due to which the operation was stopped has clearly stated that the accident was not related with the infrastructural matters of the airport. Majority of the pilgrim passengers were depending on the Kozhikode embarkation point. which was functioning well and had received nation-wide appreciation.
