Section 1 in The Maharashtra Animal Preservation Act, 1976.
1. Short title, extent, commencement and application.
(1)This Act may be called the Maharashtra Animal Preservation Act, 1976.(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra.(3)It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.(4)It shall apply to cows, bulls and bullocks and to scheduled animals.
