2. Definitions. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,--(a) each of the words and expressions defined in the Representation of the People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950 ), but not defined in this Act, shall have the same meaning as in that Act;
(b)" sitting member" means a person who immediately before the commecement of this Act is a member of a Legislative Council. 1
