(2)Any member who declines or otherwise refuses to make and subscribe such oath or affirmation as aforesaid shall be deemed to have vacated the office forthwith.Note - But now above Rule 86 has been omitted by Notification No. 4275/33-1-1994-282-94, dated 9th September and replaced by U.P. Panchyat Raj (Oath of office of Pradhan, Up-Pradhan, Panch, Sarpanch, Sahayak Sarpanch and Member of Gram Panchayat) Rules, 1994.
