Section 9(c) in The Bengal Muhammadan Marriages And Divorces Registration Act, 1876
(c)in the case of any person appearing as representative of the man or woman (whether he [appears] [Word substituted for the word 'appear' by Ben. Act 16 of 1946.] as guardian or vakil) satisfy himself of the right of such person to appear.
