Section 1 in The Indian Christian Marriage Act, 1872
1. Short title.—
This Act may be called the Indian Christian Marriage Act, 1872.Extent.— It extends to the whole of India except the territories which, immediately before the 1st November, 1956, were comprised in the States of Travancore-Cochin, Manipur and Jammu and Kashmir.***
