Section 295(a) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(a)The services of the Criminal Intelligence Bureau of the Criminal Investigation Department shall be utilised as far as possible for obtaining information regarding particular classes of crime and criminals. Every investigating officer shall carefully study and observe the rules on the subject contained in Chapter IX.
