Section 65(2) in The Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats And Industrial Townships Act, 1965
(2)The Standing Committee shall consist of such number of members as the Council may determine, so however that the number of members so determined shall not exceed one-third of the total number of Councillors:Provided that, in so determining the number of the members of the Standing Committee a fraction shall be ignored.
