Section 8(1) in Sikkim Nationalised Transport (Prevention of Ticketless Travel and Miscellaneous Provisions) Rules 1983
(1)Where the consignee, his agent or endorsee fails to take delivery of goods of perishable nature, the Sikkim Transport may, after the expiry of twenty four hours from the free-time referred to in sub-rule (1) of Rule 7 dispose off the goods by public auction by giving oral intimation to the dealers who ordinarily deal in such perishable goods.
