(2)Every candidate for a University examination shall, unless exempted from the provisions of this sub-section by a special order of the Syndicate made on the recommendation of the Standing Committee on Academic Affairs, be enrolled as a member of a University college [or an affiliated college or approved college] [Inserted by Tamil Nadu Universities Laws (Amendment) Act, 2002 (Tamil Nadu Act 35 of 2002).] or laboratory. Any such exemption may be made subject to such condition as the Syndicate may think fit.
