Section 3(2)(xv) in Assam Ministers' and Leader of the Opposition's Salaries, Allowances and Amenities Rules, 2018

(xv)"Day" means a calendar day beginning and ending at midnight, but absence from headquarters which does not exceed twenty-four hours shall be reckoned for the purpose of daily allowances as one day at whenever hour the absence begins and ends;
