35. Appointment of teachers by the West Bengal Green University Council.
(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in section 34, until the constitution of a Selection Committee referred to therein, a University Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor shall be appointed by the West Bengal Green University Council, referred to in sub-section (1) of section 63 on the recommendation of a Selection Committee constituted by the State Government and consisting of the Vice-Chancellor as Chairman, a nominee of the Chancellor, a nominee of the State Government, and a nominee of the Council, who shall be the subject expert having special knowledge of the subject which the Professor or the Associate Professor or the Assistant Professor, as the case may be, will teach.(2)If the West Bengal Green University Council does not accept the recommendation of the Selection Committee the provision of sub-section (2) of section 34 shall apply mutatis mutandis.
