Facts:­ 

Appellant submitted RTI application dated 07 August 2012  before   the   CPIO,   O/o   Secretary   House   Allotment,   Town   Hall  Building,   Sector­17,   Chandigarh   seeking   information   relating  to   cancellation   of   Govt.   houses   allotted   to   the   various  officers/officials   who   retired   from   Govt.   service   w.e.f.   31  January 2011 to 29 February 2012. 

2.        Vide CPIO Order dated 13 September 2012, CPIO denied  the information on the ground that information sought is not  readily  available   in   this   office   and   it  will   take   huge   time  and man power to compile the information. 

3.             Not   satisfied   by   the   CPIO's   reply,   the   Appellant  preferred First Appeal to the First Appellate Authority dated  19 September 2012.  

4. Vide FAA notice dated 16 October 2012, the FAA requested  the   Appellant   to   appear   before   the   FAA   for   hearing   on   25  October 2012. But no order has been passed by the FAA so far. 

5. Being  aggrieved and not satisfied  by the above response  of the Public Authority, the Appellant preferred Second Appeal  before the Commission.

6. Matter   was   heard   today.   The   respondents,   as   above,  appeared   in   person   and   made   submissions.   Appellant   was   not  present.

Decision Notice

7. After  hearing  the submissions  of the respondents and on  going over the facts on record, Commission is satisfied that  information as sought in the format given by the information  Appeal: No. CIC/DS/A/2013/000019       seeker is not maintained by the Public Authority. Order of the  CPIO is upheld. Appeal is dismissed.
