Section 2(c) in The Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Assam Rules, 1991
(c)"Board" means the Board for Prevention and Control of Water and Air Pollution, constituted under sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. As the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 will be operated by the existing Board, the name of the combined Board will be styled as Pollution Control Board, Assam;
